06 Jul Uncle Dave Macon Days set for world’s largest square dance
Uncle Dave Macon Days is an annual event for many Middle Tennessee faithful. Taking place each year in July, this year’s event will be July 8 – July 9 at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Featuring a mix of traditional and bluegrass music, this year’s lineup includes Doyle Lawson, The Grascals, The Boxcars, Hog Slop String Band, Flatt Lonesome, The Church Sisters, Lonesome River Band and more.
New this year is the addition of the world’s largest square dance. With an effort to achieve the world’s largest square dance by Guinness World Records standards, the festival promoters have gathered a plethora of dancers to assemble in downtown Murfreesboro on July 7. The square dance will be open to visitors and all are encouraged to attend.
